• </b></div><div><b>&nbsp;Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach responsibilities include:</b></div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Strength & Conditioning responsibilities supporting players at the Arizona complex, including during Extended Spring Training, Instructional League, and Development Camps.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Strength & Conditioning Coach dedicated to in-season development projects for players pulled out of competition.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Oversee Draft/ UDFA onboarding process.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Help mentor Strength & Conditioning Coaches.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Act in a capacity available for year-round operations at Papago Park.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Assist MiLB Strength & Conditioning Coordinator with administrative duties as needed.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><b>Minor League Sports Scientist responsibilities include:</b></div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Assist with monitoring and interpretation of results from athlete monitoring program in order to provide actionable insights to colleagues from across the organization, including Athletic Trainers, Strength & Conditioning Coaches, Physical Therapists, Biomechanics, Nutritionists, Mental Skills/Health Personnel, and Field Staff.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Help evaluate and implement current and future sports science initiatives to support optimization of player health and performance across Player Development.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Ensure consistency and quality by monitoring the implementation of current sports science projects occurring across the minor league system and by providing education to staff and players on proper protocols and procedures.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Develop strategies and tools for communicating findings to Players, Player Development, Major League, Sports Medicine, and Sports Performance Staffs.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Support development of optimal training and recovery programs consistent with individual player plans.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Work hands-on with coaches and players to conduct player testing.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Help evaluate new technologies and stay up to date on leading-edge sports science literature and concepts.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Help design and execute in-house research to address questions related to maximizing player health and performance.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><b>&nbsp;Skills and Qulaifications:</b></div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Requires a Bachelor's/ Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in sports science-</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>related field (e.g.
• Exercise Science, Sports Science/Kinesiology/Biomechanics). </div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>NSCA – CSCS required.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>NSCA – CPSS or sports science related experience preferred.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Must have strong background in sports science, strength and conditioning, and physiology.&nbsp; </div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Minimum 2 years of experience applying sports science at the professional or collegiate level.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Ability to both think/plan strategically and manage/execute at the operational level.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Strong background in data management, analytics and programming languages.&nbsp;&nbsp; </div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Exceptional relationship/ rapport building skills, including ability to work effectively with wide range of departments, seniority levels, and personalities.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.</div><div>●<span style="font-size: 7pt;">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</div><div><i style="font-size: 10pt;">&nbsp;</i></div><div><i style="font-size: 10pt;">At the Giants, we believe we put our best work forward when our employees bring together ideas that are diverse in thought.
