We are looking for an experienced
NOC Linux Specialist to support our
Hunt: Showdown NetOps department in Frankfurt, Germany (remote only).
You will be responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of Crytek’s 24×7 gaming network across multiple data-centers, games, and platforms.
Please note that this role requires working in shifts (including night shifts).
Remote Work
1. If you are already living in Germany, we are able to offer you a permanent work contract and allow you to work remotely as an employee from your current location.
2. If you are living outside of Germany (max. +/- 2 hours CET), we can offer you a freelance contract arrangement.
ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and operation of the 24×7×365 hosted data-center environment using the monitoring tools Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana etc;Installation, configuration and patching of system and game software;Work closely with R&D to install, configure and operate developed features, as appropriate;Ensure appropriate, accurate, up-to-date technical documentation is available for systems and game logic, and environment;Assist with process, policy development and documentation;Operate and maintain a dynamic, highly available environment.Requirements3+ years of experience as a NOC Engineer or NOC Specialist.Must be available to work in shifts (including night shifts).Excellent written and verbal English.Strong understanding of TCP/IP.Linux administration experience.Experience in automation/configuration management tools (Ansible is preferable), Git.Hands - on experience with virtualization technologies.Database knowledge: Postgres, MariaDB, Redis, MongoDB.Familiar with the following protocols and services (desirable and will be considered as a strong advantage):DNSHTTP/HTTPSVPN (IPSec, OpenVPN)NGINXKnowledge of at least one scripting language (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.)What you can expect from us
