Job Description

About Tia

Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare — one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.

About the Role

We are building a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team focused on delivering integrated, whole-person mental health and psychiatric care across Tia’s modern women’s healthcare model.

As a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Provider at Tia, you will play a foundational role in shaping the mental health care delivered across our virtual primary care setting. You will partner closely with therapists, MDs, NPs, PAs, acupuncturists, and clinical leaders to provide responsible, compassionate psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, consultation, and referral support.

You will also help bring the mental health perspective into Tia’s broader care model by supporting clinical education, case consultation, quality improvement, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration.

Why Tia

  • Opportunity to help shape and scale a new model of women’s healthcare
  • Mission-driven environment focused on improving care for women across life stages
  • Collaborative, thoughtful team committed to patient and provider experience
  • Modern care model that integrates clinical care, operations, technology, and innovation
  • Meaningful opportunity to influence how mental health is integrated into whole-person care
  • Remote role with flexibility to work from home
  • Opportunity to partner across primary care, gynecology, mental health, wellness, and operations

What You’ll Do

  • Psychiatric Care Delivery: Conduct responsible and compassionate psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, medication management, monitoring, and referrals.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe, titrate, refill, and monitor psychotropic medications across major medication classes, including anti-anxiety agents, antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and stimulants.
  • Integrated Care Collaboration: Partner closely with therapists, MDs, NPs, PAs, acupuncturists, mental health leads, and clinical leaders to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
  • High-Risk Patient Support: Collaborate with mental health and clinical leads to identify, consult on, and support high-risk patients.
  • Clinical Consultation & Education: Provide mental health perspective and case consultation to the broader clinical team, including support for patient education, health guidance, and care planning.
  • Quality & Policy Development: Support quality improvement, policy development, documentation standards, and clinical best practices by staying current on evolving research and trends in psychiatric and mental healthcare.
  • Care Navigation & Referrals: Facilitate extended mental healthcare interventions and referrals, including connection to social service resources and higher levels of care when needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Confidence prescribing and monitoring common psychotropic medications
  • Comfort delivering care in a virtual-first, technology-enabled environment, including documentation and payer credentialing requirements

Nice to Have

  • Experience in women’s health, integrated care, primary care, or collaborative care models
  • Experience supporting trauma-informed care, postpartum mental health, LGBTQ+ care, or underserved populations
  • Familiarity with mental health referrals, social service resources, or higher levels of care in Tia markets
