Role overview:

The Operations Analytics & Reporting Manager will lead a team of data and analytics professionals. This team works as part of the Systems, Optimisation & Analytics Function and acts as a Centre of Excellence, providing expert advice, support, and guidance. They also provide support to the various other functions, driving innovation, and sharing knowledge across the group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and progressing the wider Operations Data Strategy in driving harmonised reporting that maximises SIE's IT supported platforms and tools. They will liaise and collaborate regularly with their Systems and Optimisation counterparts to identify areas for change or enhancement, new data or reporting requirements and ensure that the teams are aligned in terms of priorities and projects.

You'll also be expected to improve data literacy in general, empowering business users in their use and understanding of our reporting and analytics opportunities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Promote activities with regard to data, reporting and analytics – explain, review, embed and collaboratively select and agree the best data methodology and strategy
  • Empower and develop Analytics & Reporting experts who help users to interpret their data to develop clear insights and actions for the department to use in their daily/weekly or monthly activities; and leverage global reporting solutions.
  • Provide the link between business functions and our systems / tools for analytics and reporting activity
  • Drive thought-leadership on how to deliver excellent reporting and analytics to the Operations department and contribute to cultivating a positive analyst community within Global Operations.
  • Bring planning expertise – take the lead on setting the standard for analytics wide project plans, and work closely with the Operations Optimisation team to ensure data capabilities is part of all new projects or change initiatives
  • Develop reporting enhancements and data solutions, working in collaboration with other business users to provide robust solutions that are driven by data
  • Develop and launch of any new reporting dashboards to provide intelligence that is regularly required to the leadership team.
  • Provide updates on the global roadmap and strategy whilst supporting the Senior Director in delivering and completing on vision and objectives.
  • Co-Lead a regular forum with peers from the Global Operations functions to ensure change and projects are prioritised and assessed collaboratively and in line with the department’s goals and needs.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to the team to enhance their development.
  • Play an active and constructive role in making the Operations Systems, Optimisation and Analytics function a great place to work for everyone.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully managing various data and analytics projects in global organisations ideally within the entertainment industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with global reporting and analytics tools and solutions (SAP, BW, Tableau, Snowflake, DOMO etc).
  • Ability to work with both business and technical teams on understanding and delivering data and insights (requirements and solutions).
  • Skilled at building relationships and partnering with business leaders to drive positive change across the business.
  • Ability to motivate and influence the function to achieve and deliver on business goals and objectives in the reporting and analytics space.
  • Ability to communicate complex or highly technical subjects in a concise and articulate way to colleagues across all levels of the organisation and with varying skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and experienced in some organisational change methodologies.
  • Possess a sharp eye for identifying weak areas in a process or structure, or opportunities for change and not being afraid to challenge the status quo.
