The Associate Director will, subject to the supervision of the executive producer, producer and/or director assigned to the program, perform the following functions, or supervise the performance of them by others, on programs to which he or she is assigned. This person will work weekly on NFL Media shows as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Confer with the producer and/or the director on plans for the program and attend production meetings concerning the program.
- Time master control to commercial break; time the program back from commercial break; communicate timing of all taped elements of the program. Will also communicate throughout the show with any other production partners.
- Coordinate production tasks with the stage manager, all production and technical personnel, including but not limited to audio, TD, graphics, lighting and graphics operators or their producers, as well as other Associate Directors and other employees of the company.
- Mark the show rundown in ENPS, including music cues, sound effects, TD effects, remotes, tape times and more. The Associate Director works with show personnel – including producers – to execute pre-production and live production of the show.
- Work across departments (graphics, file transfer, edit coordinators), to ensure timely delivery of all show elements. The AD is responsible for knowing the correct sponsorships and billboards for their show and works with appropriate parties to make sure assets air correctly. They will assist in coordinating and timing all sponsored elements for their shows.
- Coordinate with playback and EVS operators on all tape elements during show production. This includes previewing all playbacks for the show they are assigned as well as ensuring all pre-taped segments are recorded. Will also work with TOC on preparing remotes involved in production.
- NFL knowledge is essential
Required Education
- 4-year college degree or 2-year Associates degree.
Preferred Experience:
- At least 3 years working in a live studio environment, preferably sports
- DGA preferred
- Knowledge of ENPS

Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinates with audio & music department on commercial tracks
- Will be a point of contact for all Encompass (Master Control) communications

- Weekends and some late/early hours
- Occasionally will need to sit for long periods of time while on-air for a live show.
