ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShield-NKS Health values.Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.Administer intramuscular vaccination and TB skin testing as orderedTake appropriate action in situations where the safety and well-being of the patient may be compromised.Adhere to best work safety practices and proceduresReport Adverse Events as neededAdhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).Commitment to continuing educationMinimum of 1 year experience with IVs, hospital nursing preferredExperience with IV antibiotics, and biologics preferredExperience with Pediatric patient population an assetRequirementsCurrently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).Current BLS required. ACLS an assetProficiency in English, both verbal and written required.Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle required.Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.Possesses the physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities.· Minimum of 3 set days/week
· General hours 8-4 or 9-5, but needs to be flexible (no guaranteed hours)
