Reporting to the Senior Manager, Payroll, the Payroll & Benefits Specialist will support Kabam’s Finance team to administer the day-to-day payroll and benefits for all US and Canadian employees across 6 studios. You have a collaborative, analytical spirit to ensure the continued success of Kabam’s operations. This is a very analytically focused role and is a great opportunity for someone experienced with multi-national payroll to join a dynamic team.
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
In this role, you can expect to:Prepare and administer full-cycle semi-monthly processing of hourly and salaried Canadian and US payroll using Dayforce Prepare reconciliations, payments, and payroll changes relating to various extended health benefit carriersPrepare and administer Canadian and US employee health benefits with various third-party providers.Research payroll & benefits information and/or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures before processingCompile and prepare payroll related reports and remittances after each pay run, and as needed; monthly, quarterly, and annually for various government and non-government agenciesCompile data from a wide variety of sources for analyzing purposes and ensuring compliance with mandated requirements, and/or monitoring program componentsManage all payroll related audits including but not limited to; RSP, 401K, Worker’s CompensationEnsure compliance with all government requirements, including taxes remittances, WorkSafe, quarterly and annual returnsContinuously evaluate and suggest and/or implement improvements to payroll processesTo be successful in this role, your background includes:3-5 years of Payroll & Benefits administration for a multi-provincial workforce. Multi-state US experience is preferred, but not required.Experience processing payroll for over 300+ employees per payroll cycleCompleted (or working towards) Certified Payroll Professional CertificationCommunicates in a clear, concise, and professional manner with staff at all levelsCollaborates effectively with others regularlySupports direct and indirect team members; improves others' productivity and development; inspires and encourages teamworkKnowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and requirementsAdvanced Skills in Microsoft ExcelProficiency in Ceridian Dayforce, ADP Workforce, or other reputable payroll systems is an asset. Experience with system implementations/data migrations is also valuableWilling to learn and find solutions to complex issuesAbility to work collaboratively within a team as well as individuallyAbility to prioritize tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcited by this opportunity?
