We're searching for a mid-level People Advisor or Human Resources Manager to join our team on a 5-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. As a People Advisor, you'll be the MVP of our regional People, Culture & Sustainability department, navigating the complexities of regional labor laws and regulations in APJ. Responsibilities

Lead regional HR advisory and services in APJ:

  • Provide HR partnership, for both strategic and operational initiatives, day to day HR support and execution of strategies for APJ region
  • Understand business needs to support APJ leadership team to scale growing business
  • Keep the business leaders informed on industry HR trends which may affect the business and build strong credible relationships to get buy in for HR initiatives
  • Advise the leaders and employees on policies and processes, including but not limited to performance management and employee relations
  • Manage local labour law processes and negotiations
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Implement and update local HR/office policies and procedures
  • Coordinate local work environment processes
  • Review and mitigate strategic, reputational, operational, or compliance-related risks
  • Manage payroll processes and other HR administrative requirements for APJ region
  • Assist in providing our HR Shared Services team all employee updates for obtaining approvals and updates to employee records
  • Assist in aligning APJ recruiting efforts to our global recruiting processes
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to manage onboarding material for all new employees in our learning platform
  • Build relationships with leaders and employees to stay in tune with level of employee engagement

Partner with Global HR teams:

  • As a member of the global HR team, you will also collaborate with the global HRBPs on implementing global initiatives in the region
  • Align with global HR teams and APJ leadership team to proactively manage daily/annual HR process for Headcount Planning, Performance Management, Organizational Change, Compensation & Benefits planning, and Talent Succession Planning
  • Assist global HRBPs and Learning & Development team on learning initiatives and address performance gaps
  • Assist with employee relations as needed, with guidance from global HRBPs and managers
  • Assist in global organization design initiatives when required

Requirements

  • Prior experience of 2-4 years as an HR specialist or HR Business Partner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Profound knowledge of Singapore, Malaysia and Australia’s employment law and awareness of regulatory changes and developments.
  • Being proactive, responsive, collaborative and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to excel in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, preferably BambooHR.
  • Exposure to international business environments (e.g., MNCs) is a plus.
