Job Description

As a People & Culture Business Partner, you will be at the heart of our mission, driving People & Culture initiatives that empower our team to excel. We are seeking an HR professional with a passion for growth and results to help us scale our organizational capabilities and optimize our workplace environment. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you will collaborate with a talented team, support our diverse and global workforce, and contribute to pioneering new territories in the blockchain and entertainment sectors.

What we'll achieve together
  • We’re 150+ employees across 2 companies - and you’ll be at the forefront of building the foundations for organizational scale
  • You’ll champion all People & Culture initiatives.
  • You’ll establish yourself as a People & Culture point person across the organization by building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • You’ll partner with team members and managers on key people issues and initiatives (performance management, team relations, engagement, retention, benefits and compensation, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS management, and more).
  • You’ll partner with leadership on all HR matters.
  • You’ll participate in developing best in class organizational guidelines and procedures for an innovative, fast paced, and evolving organization.
  • You’ll keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices, bringing them back to the team so we can experiment with them together.
  • You’ll lead OKR projects and initiatives from start to finish. 

  • A little about you:
  • This is a remote role, but strong preference for candidates based in Los Angeles or Vancouver, BC
  • You have extensive experience as an HR business partner or generalist, ideally at a startup or tech company.
  • You’re a go-getter, and comfortable working autonomously and proactively in an environment with lots of unknowns and ambiguity. You are capable of applying your skills across a variety of use cases.
  • We believe in processes and the power of planning, but you will often have to roll with the punches and prioritize the most impactful tasks on the fly.
  • You have a high attention to detail which allows you to identify gaps and missing pieces to minimize opportunities for oversight.
  • You thrive on change, and are passionate about creating and iterating process in a fast paced, reactive environment.
  • You are a creative problem solver and find organizational and scaling challenges interesting.
  • You have strong influencing and communication skills and a knack for building trust and strong relationships.
