The Position

FanDuel is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer to join our Core Infrastructure and Developer Lifecycle organisation. You’ll be working across the FanDuel software engineering function and providing technical leadership on an efficient software development lifecycle path from local development through to production for all of FanDuel’s engineering teams including the full SDLC lifecycle from development through build to deployment. 

  • Work across three platform engineering teams which support the development of performant and reliable applications across FanDuel
  • Lead conversations to remove blockers and foster collaboration across software engineering teams and domains
  • Define overarching strategic goals and translate them into actionable and detailed plans that can be readily implemented by engineers
  • Identify and support area of growth for colleagues through coaching and mentoring

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for technical leaders who are proficient in developing applications related to platform engineering, infrastructure engineering and devops. 

You will have experience of continuous integration systems, administrating artifact repositories, managing kubernetes clusters, API gateways and deployment systems

  • Familiarity with cloud based infrastructure, preferably AWS
  • The ability to transform strategic objectives into actionable programs of work
  • Experience of delivering programs and projects via tools like Jira

Location: Our Scottish tech hub is based in central Edinburgh and is fitted with fabulous amenities including a Gym, showers, bike parking, gaming pods, multiple breakout areas, meeting rooms, a roof terrace and much more. We operate a hybrid model for the majority of our roles, where we normally spend a day or two in the office per week.
