We’re looking for a Principal Live Ops Specialist to join our Marvel Contest of Champions team supporting the revenue and monetization stream. This person will be responsible for the planning, execution, and iteration of live events, offers and promotions that engage and excite our players, and partnering closely with the economy team on tuning events. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is passionate about Marvel Contest of Champions, eager to improve the game, and has a drive to understand our players both on a community and data-driven level.
In this role, you can expect to:Be an expert on using data for Live Operations elements within the gameDrive features according to roadmap/planningContribute to the Live Operations workflow and can kick off new initiatives and featuresInfluence technology development to push higher quality and process improvementsBe the POC for a specific Live Operations domain in the Studio (Events, Offers, etc)Make recommendations that stem from clear project goals and design intentions that mesh with overall product vision, taking into account player, customer, and other stakeholder perspectivesDesign Live Operations activities that extend product design (e.g. scale the product design, set up for future Live Operations features, collaborate with Design on tools)Be involved in the Live Operations or gaming communities; represents Kabam by (e.g. writing articles on best practices, speaking at events, networking, etc.)Keep a pulse on trends and proactively adapt strategy to meet needs (e.g. player needs, KPI, game team)Supports skill development for others; inspires teamwork; creates and sustains a positive work environment; participates in mentoring within a team.To be successful in this role, your background includes:Advanced understanding of game economics (e.g. designs features that perform within the current ecosystem)8+ Years Experience working on a GaaS (Games as a Service) Product 3+ Years in at Senior Live Ops Specialist CapacityExperience in Operations and ImprovementExperience with Product and Process lifecycle managementExperience in data analysis and visualization with tools like Excel, Tableau, and BigQueryExcited by this opportunity?
