OVERVIEW:

We’re seeking an innovative and dynamic Product Development Manager with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams to deliver exceptional products. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of Gymshark by ensuring our product lines meet or exceed the evolving needs of our community.

Your leadership will be pivotal in driving a disruptive approach to product development. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI and 3D design, you'll push the boundaries of innovation, transforming ideas into market-leading products that resonate with our consumers.

You’ll be at the forefront of upskilling your team, empowering them to excel in their roles while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments. Your ability to inspire and guide your team will be key in maintaining our commitment to delivering exceptional products on time and within scope.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Talent:

• Leading and mentoring a world-class team, fostering development to create innovative products that exceed Gymshark community expectations.
• Identifying high-potential team members for leadership roles, supporting skill development through internal and external training opportunities.
• Aligning team members with individual and wider objectives, ensuring they embody Gymshark values and behaviours.

 Operational:

• Ensuring product area meets the highest quality standards, overseeing product development from concept to delivery.
• Managing and mentoring the PD team, ensuring process efficiency, specification accuracy, and timely achievement of critical path timelines.
• Fostering continuous improvement through market research, technical benchmarking, and collaboration with Design, Sourcing, and QA.
• Maintaining and developing supplier and technical manuals, ensuring consistent implementation and adherence across the supply chain and internal teams.

 Suppliers:

• Building and sustaining strong supplier relationships, challenging and improving capabilities like 3D fitting technology to achieve right-first-time product development.
• Monitoring supplier progress, ensuring consistent adherence to standards and managing the timely completion of the Supplier scorecard.
• Planning and leading team visits to suppliers, aligning product strategy with Gymshark objectives and team capabilities.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills with the ability to manage change and foster collaboration across teams.
• Extensive experience in viewing situations from both HQ and supplier perspectives, ensuring well-rounded decision-making and effective partnerships.
• Proven leadership, coaching, and people management skills with a focus on team development and performance.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities, able to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in managing category strategies from concept to execution and post-launch evaluation, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated, independent thinker who can navigate challenges and deliver results against set targets.
• Passion for Gymshark values and a deep understanding of the Gymshark community.
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to articulate ideas and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback, willing to challenge the status quo and be challenged.
• Experience in leading change initiatives, applying a people-first mindset, and driving innovation through lateral thinking.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
