Overview:

As a Product Management Intern for Major League Baseball, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and enhancement of our digital products. This internship offers hands-on experience in the dynamic field of sports media, allowing you to work closely with our product management team to ideate, design, and implement features that engage and delight our users.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within the sports media landscape.
  • Assist in the creation of user stories, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate product concepts and features.
  • Participate in user testing and feedback sessions to gather insights and validate product hypotheses.
  • Support the product development lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
  • Monitor app performance and user feedback, and propose iterative improvements to enhance user satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At minimum, rising college Junior, senior or recent graduate or graduate level student
  • Passion for sports and a keen interest in digital media and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies is a plus (e.g., JIRA, Agile, Scrum).
  • Prior experience with mobile app development or digital product management is advantageous but not required.

Per the NYC pay transparency law, the hiring range for this position is an hourly rate of $20-$23. The actual offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your work experience, education, skills and any other factors MLB considers relevant to the hiring decision.
