theScore is looking for a Product Manager with demonstrated success in consumer products to join the ESPN Ecosystem Team. As an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial product leader, you will manage, innovate and execute on product initiatives that focus on leveraging the ESPN brand and content to grow ESPN BET. 

The Product Manager will have a track record of owning and delivering experiences to customers that raise the bar from an innovation, usability, and design perspective. You will be expected to dive right in and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 

About the Work 

As a key member of our ESPN Ecosystem Team you will: 

  • Lead a cross-functional team of designers, engineers and quality assurance analysts in the ideation, technical development and launch of impact-focused experiences. ● Exhibit sound product judgment, define the product strategy alongside key stakeholders, and lead implementation of that strategy as it aligns to organizational and business objectives.
  • Establish product KPIs and goals, including short and long-term planning on how to achieve desired results. 
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements; communicate with stakeholders regularly and collaborate with them on priorities. 
  • Own the end-to-end success of projects from requirements definition through design, development, launch, and post-launch analysis to drive future iterations of the product. ● Serve as subject matter expert for your products, capabilities and services, and aid in providing guidance to others in regard to this expertise. 
  • Develop and thoroughly present go-forward recommendations. 
  • Develop best practices and continuous improvement targets for the team, product team and organization as a whole. 
  • Other duties as required.

About You 

  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 3+ years experience in product management. 
  • Experience at a software technology company is required, with considerable experience working directly with developers 
  • Biased towards action - Great self-starter who utilizes collaboration and team motivator to drive towards clarity and results. Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. 
  • Deeply analytical - Understand product data (e.g., quantitative and qualitative insights), communicate the results clearly and effectively, and make decisions based on those insights.
  • High-bar for delivering quality - From your own contributions, to the people you work with, to the products you work on.
  • Strategic thinker - Always thinking about the next step and horizon and how the current focus moves the user experience, business and technology towards that goal.
  • Agile familiar - Previous experience working with a technical delivery team in a scrum-like environment and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • Empathetic Stakeholder Management - Understands the role of a Product Manager is to actively work with various stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize their requests alongside the team’s goals and facilitate a healthy ongoing relationships.
  • Outstanding communication skills - Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems in a simple way across diverse cultures, work styles, and personalities. Ability to communicate through various methods such as wireframes, product specifications and executive presentations.
  • Strong desire for continuous learning and growth of your skill set.
  • A passion for sports and/or sports betting, or the desire to learn about them & understand what gets users excited.
