Job Description

WHO WE ARE
When it comes to health, we’re always looking for ways to push for better. It’s why we were founded in the first place. In 1957, our founder, pharmacist William Wilkinson, witnessed a mother sacrifice her health by forgoing her own medicine to pay for her sick daughter’s prescription. He knew there had to be a better way. So, he introduced North America’s first prepaid drug plan, and GreenShield was born as a not-for-profit with a mission to support better health for all Canadians.

We aren’t just a health and benefits company. We’re the only not-for-profit social enterprise that brings worlds of coverage and care together, all in one place. We’re noble challengers, purposefully building a better way and we need the best people to help us create a more holistic approach that takes care of the mind and body.

Our mission is to create better health for all Canadians, and we know that starts with our employees.

GreenShield Health is on a mission to improve your mental health at home, at work and beyond. We offer accessible, affordable and effective digital mental health solutions for individuals and organizations that care. With secure virtual counselling, personalized therapist matching services and digital-first employee wellness programs, we’re helping over a million people start feeling better without the wait.
Want to help people get the support they need when they actually need it? You’re in the right place.

Reporting to the GreenShield Benefits Administration product lead, you will be responsible for the features supporting integrations and access to services delivered through the GreenShield+ platform. You’ll partner with various GreenShield cross-functional teams (product, engineering, clinical services, support teams, etc.) to introduce new products and services delivered on our integrated payer-provider platform.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
  • Lead the development and execution of user-centric products/services that align with the overall business strategy and goals, helping users of GreenShield+ get access to the services they’re eligible for.
  • Own the prioritization and roadmapping of features for new integrations with services that are digitally-enabled through our GreenShield+ platform.
  • Work with internal teams to build and maintain tooling to assist with administrative functions across the business.
  • Work closely with internal subject matter experts and business unit leads to ensure stakeholder and customer objectives are met.
  • Define the key metrics and associated measurement framework.
  • Work with security and compliance teams to ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Tactically drive prioritization on a sprint-to-sprint basis while also strategically contributing to long-term product strategy.
  • Collaborate daily with design and engineering teams to identify and deliver on the product vision and objectives.
  • Effectively communicate strategy and roadmap for a non-technical audience, in verbal and written form, including presentations.
  • Ensure teams that are impacted by new integrations and services are kept in alignment on the actions they need to take in regards to any new services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices, and incorporate this knowledge into product development.

  • WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet challenging goals.
  • Able to form strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, Engineering, and Cloud Services teams.
  • Work with operations, marketing and sales to support go-to-market of new product/service launches.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product management, encompassing operational readiness, customer support, product operations, and analytics.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative skills; ability to make data-driven decisions and build strong business cases to drive product prioritization and recommendations for action.
  • A strong systems thinker with the ability to understand the full customer journey and the integrations required across a product portfolio.
  • Write and develop clear product requirements documents and supporting specifications to describe functionality in sufficient detail for stakeholders to understand the feature and for engineers to build the feature.
  • Ability to articulate strategy, goals and objectives to inspire designers and engineers to build the right solution.
  • The ability to make the right implementation trade-off decisions in getting a feature built and launched on schedule with a low incidence of bugs.
  • The ability to QA a feature and product to ensure a high-quality launch, across all devices, and applicable use cases.
  • The ability to triage and prioritize the severity of bugs and make recommendations for whether something is a launch blocker or not.
