Support and shape the product adaptation for our African sportsbook, while acting as the key product link to Central Sportsbook.
The Wow
Partner with the Africa Commercial Lead to translate business goals and market insights into sound product decisions, align with the central roadmap, find synergies, and derisk delivery. Additionally, support ongoing optimisation of our retail sportsbook and enable third-party capabilities for use across brands and markets.
A taster of what you will be involved with:
- Act as the product counterpart to the Africa commercial lead: clarify goals, translate to requirements, and maintain a lightweight, transparent backlog for Africa.
- Align Africa asks with Central Sportsbook strategy, architecture, and standards; identify reuse/synergies to avoid oneoffs.
- Coordinate with Compliance & Legal to confirm regulatory fit, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Facilitate delivery with Product, Tech, Trading, and Operations, ensuring clear success criteria and quality gates.
- Partner with our Retail channel to ensure the existing retail sportsbook setup runs smoothly (no disruptions), continuously optimise the experience and processes, and drive a reliable rollout/support model across shops/terminals.
- Evaluate and integrate thirdparty capabilities (F2P, pools/jackpots, data & risk tools, content) for centralized use, defining scope, feasibility, and operating model.
- Provide structured product input for Procurement/Legal during RFIs/RfTs so vendors are assessed against the right usecases, integration needs, and technical fit.
- Own integration plans end-to-end (requirements → testing → rollout) with clear ownership across teams.
- Maintain a curated catalogue of approved partners and reusable integration patterns, including compliance notes and support playbooks.
- Provide crisp product briefs and decision memos (problem, options, risks, recommendation).
- Track outcomes postlaunch (adoption, stability, regulatory outcomes) and feed learnings into the central roadmap.
- Serve as a positive influence and catalyst within the SB product platform, fostering collaboration across the organization.
- Continuously benchmark the SB product against market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support strategic initiatives and contribute to long-term sportsbook direction.
