Let's start with the role:

As the Product Owner for the Data and Analytics Division, you will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data and analytics products, ranging from foundational Data Platform and ETL pipelines to reporting solutions, dashboards, and advanced analytics tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maximize the value of data assets and ensure the delivery of scalable, high-quality data products that meet both stakeholder needs and the company’s objectives. 

This role is pivotal in shaping how data is captured, processed, governed, and utilized across the organization. You will ensure alignment with enterprise data governance standards, champion data quality and compliance, and foster a culture where data-driven decision-making is central to how we operate.

As a Product Owner you will:

• Own and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products across the division, ensuring alignment with organizational goals;
• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to gather, prioritize, and refine requirements for new features and enhancements;
• Translate requirements into epics and user stories, focusing on data pipelines, platform capabilities, reporting and analytics solutions;
• Develop and maintain a well-organized product backlog, ensuring priorities are clear and development teams fully understand the desired outcomes;
• Act as a key liaison between Data and Analytics teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and expectation management;
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for data products, utilizing data and user feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation;
• Ensure adherence to data governance standards, promoting best practices in data stewardship, quality, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle;
• Serve as a subject matter expert on reporting tools and best practices, staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and driving the adoption of best practices in data product strategy and execution.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field;
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in product management, ideally in a data-driven or technology-focused environment;
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex data products in a fast-paced environment;
• Proven ability to define clear product requirements addressing business challenges and technical opportunities;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making;
• Competence in Agile methodologies, especially Scrum, with a proven track record as a product owner in an Agile development setting;
• Familiarity with online sports betting and casino products is considered an asset;
• Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus;
• Good understanding of technology, programming languages, data architecture and data governance is also a plus.
