While Basketball Operations runs the league’s on-court activities, other departments manage relationships with television and digital media partners, develop marketing partnerships with some of the world’s most recognizable companies, oversee the licensing of NBA merchandise, and handle a wide range of responsibilities that drive the NBA’s success. The NBA Fitness digital content management contractor position will be a fundamental part of our content operation. They will be responsible for working closely cross-functionally on content ideation/execution with internal and external stakeholders, branded content, partnerships, and content publishing. They will be a key voice in our NBA Fitness content strategy and content representative for the initiative. Day-To-Day Responsibilities: Ideate content concepts for NBA Fitness with original production team, digital strategy, social and digital teams and facilitate execution of said concepts. Collaborate on partner-adjacent content with our Social and Digital Branded Content team for NBA Fitness platforms. Participate in Tentpole Content planning, representing NBA Fitness interests and content initiatives Manage all NBA Fitness content posting across digital platforms in collaboration with the Social & Digital Branded Content team Track branded content post requirements for NBA Fitness on social and digital in conjunction with the NBA’s partnerships team. Manage content distribution schedule of NBA Fitness content Coordinate with on-site coverage team on deliverables and publishing timelines. Facilitate debriefs of NBA Fitness content initiatives and generate recap materials. Required Skills/Knowledge: Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA and its players, coaches, and teams Previous experience with digital content programming (ie: Apps, Wordpress, etc.) preferred Knowledgeable and passionate about fitness content and the overall fitness space Familiar with creators and trainers in basketball fitness content space Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach Great organization and communication skills Willingness to work a flexible schedule as this position will include nights and weekends based on the NBA calendar Must be a team player who can work collaboratively and across departments Educational Background Required Bachelor's degree required Salary Range: $2,307.69/biweekly The NBA does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or any other third parties.
