The Project Employee Newsletter and Copyeditor position will be a core member of the NBA’s new newsletter, The Starting 5, while also providing senior editorial oversight and guidance for the NBA’s Direct To Consumer Team (App, Notifications, Graphics) in a nightly, live-game environment.

This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.

Daily copywriting, copyediting and QA for our Starting 5 newsletter and select experiences across NBA Direct to Consumer Content, ensuring that all products meet our quality standards

Required Skills/Knowledge

Deeply knowledgeable and passionate about the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League, Jr NBA Global Championship, and the Basketball Africa League and their players, coaches, and teams

Deeply knowledgeable about social & digital platforms, especially in terms of segmentation & targeting.

Knowledge of basketball analytics and the rules of the game. Strong writing and communication skills, as well as ability to execute editorial judgment

Ability and willingness to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks at once with a precise and detail-oriented approach Ability and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team
