The Esports team plays a pivotal role in designing and bringing to life the most amazing esports products for the community. They contribute to creating exceptional experiences that resonate with users and elevate the world of esports.

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in executing and delivering Live Events with excellence and aligning them with the objectives of EFG. This role is essential for ensuring the successful management of projects based around our live events, adhering to cost, timescale, and quality parameters while maintaining alignment with company guidelines and policies.

A key goal for this role is to ensure the successful execution of live events, in alignment with EFG's business objectives and guidelines. It also serves as a key figure responsible for planning, managing budgets, coordinating stakeholders, and addressing issues to deliver high-quality live events.

This role can be based in China, Malaysia or surrounding countries  to support our events and reports directly to our Head of Project Management, APJ.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, focussing on live event you will play a crucial role both independently and collaboratively, focusing on the following essential duties:

• Project Leadership and Stakeholder Management: Lead and direct project activities by collaborating with internal stakeholders and departments to ensure projects are executed within planned scope and budget.
• Project Planning and Execution: Plan, execute, report and successfully complete assigned projects, adhering to the defined product scope and objectives.
• Create clear project timelines: Deliverables, and goals, and ensure accountability among team members for their respective contributions.
• Vendor Management: Identify and liaise with vendors and sponsors for event support together with Procurement.  Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure all agreements are fulfilled. Maintain strong relationships with partners in the esports industry.
• Financial Management: This role must effectively manage project budgets, including budget creation, regular tracking, and timely reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Project Management Tools: Take responsibility for maintaining project management tools, ensuring they are utilized effectively for project workflow.
• Workflow Optimization: Collaborate to optimize established workflows and streamline project processes, both internally and externally. This includes contribution in how to work with stakeholders to ensure efficient collaboration.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve emerging problems that may arise during the course of projects. Utilize problem-solving skills to find appropriate solutions and mitigate risks. 
• Operational Communication: Serve as the point of contact for stakeholders regarding operational issues, if applicable, to facilitate effective resolution and communication.
• Other: Perform other tasks within the scope of the role

Requirements

• Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills and 5 years of experience working on delivering live events 
• Communication and Negotiation: Excellent communication and negotiation skills are necessary for effective stakeholder management and issue resolution.
• Financial Acumen: A strong understanding of financial management, including budget creation and tracking, is vital.
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Language requirements: Fluent in English.
• Language requirements: Fluent in Mandarin and Simplified Chinese
