CrossFit is looking to hire a Project Manager to join the Sport Team. You will oversee and manage projects from initiation to completion. The primary objective of this role is to support the successful planning, coordination, and execution of the CrossFit Games Season and special projects. Key duties include budget tracking, CrossFit Games onsite administrative coordination, and event reconciliation. This role requires leading cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, managing risks, and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:           
      Day-to-day management of the Sport budget, including event budgets and vendors.
      Project manage Sport initiatives, including recurring season projects and special projects.
      Establish project timelines with stakeholders.
      Monitor project progress and ensure delivery on time and within scope and budget.
      Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
      Conduct regular status meetings with stakeholders to review progress and resolve any issues.
      Conduct post-project debriefs/after-action reports with stakeholders.
      Support the CrossFit Games Season Competitions by;
      Coordinate event schedules with stakeholders, including competition, broadcast, and other event staff.
      Lead the development of Event Information Packets (Event Team, Staff, Athletes, Judges, Coaches, and Agents)
      Coordinate event staffing with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., communication, budget, contracts, in-event comms).
      Administrative onsite lead at events (i.e., coordination of will call, ticket packets, VIPs, etc.).
      Ensuring the onsite app is ready on time, on budget, and continually improved (with an external contractor).
      Manage Sport surveys (i.e., athletes, vendors, and other stakeholders).
      Lead the initiation of all contracts for Sport and liaise with Legal.
      Ensure sport has the appropriate tools and resources to increase efficiency and effectiveness continually.
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
      Proven leadership and ability to establish and maintain a positive work culture among a team and effectively communicate with large and small workgroups.
      Experience in managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale events with multiple stakeholders.
      Ability to set up and use complex Excel and Sheets workbooks.
      Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
      Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and willingness to adapt and adjust as the environment demands.
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
      Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management, Project Management, or a related field.
      5+ years of project or event management experience, preferably in sports or entertainment.
      PMP, CMP, or related certifications are preferred.
      Experience in managing budgets, vendors, and large-scale events with multiple stakeholders.
      Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously with positive outcomes.
