Who We’re Looking For:
Therabody is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic PR & Comms Intern to join the team. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail to streamline our existing processes and initiatives effectively. Therabody is looking for someone who is creative, with a keen eye for storytelling, to assist in building impactful media contacts and crafting compelling narratives for the remainder of 2024.
The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and a passion for staying updated on industry trends are essential qualities we are seeking.
This hands-on opportunity offers exposure to all stages of the marketing and PR process, including crafting internal messaging, developing launch plans, liaising with press, aligning on compelling narratives, executing events, launching products, fostering partnerships and collaborations, securing media placements, and more.
Learning ObjectivesAssist in planning and executing events, including logistics and on-site support Organize and maintain documents such as briefing materials, messaging documents, press releases, decks, and communications calendars Audit and update media lists, researching new outlets and editors for outreach. Experience with Muck Rack is a plus Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to enhance communication strategiesConduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive products, and potential market gaps Support media seeding efforts, including gifting and organizing mailers and send-outs Track and analyze media metrics, compiling reports for evaluation Assist in creating and maintaining project timelines, ensuring that development milestones are met within the specified timeframe Ideal Candidate QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Public Relations, Communications, Business, Marketing, Market Research etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detailStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges Familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platformsDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities Self-motivated and able to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative environment Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyEnthusiasm for staying updated on industry trends and best practices in PR and communications Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines Previous experience or coursework in public relations, communications, or related fields is a plus Therabody is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
