QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

We're looking for a Senior QA Engineer to own the QA process as an embedded member on the Human Machine Interface (HMI) team, and shape the quality standard for the future of vehicle interfaces. You'll be expected to work in a highly autonomous environment, and collaborate frequently with engineers, product team, and QA teammates.

In this role, you will

  • Test HMI-specific features on a variety of automotive platforms
  • Test the Unreal Engine on new automotive platforms
  • Establish QA and testing processes for the HMI team, including test planning, creating tests (manual/automated), analyzing data, and reporting on quality
  • Develop tests with assistance from the HMI development team, including automated test cases
  • Work with and communicate directly with engineering teams
  • Conduct whitebox testing, technical testing, and assist in debugging issues

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of QA experience and 1+ years of coding/scripting experience
  • Expertise creating automation test cases
  • Experience testing UE on Android (or equivalent experience)
  • Good understanding of Android Debug Bridge
  • Willingness to learn UE profiling tools, e.g. DumpGPU and Insights
  • Experience working embedded in SDLC and eagerness to be hands-on with testing
  • Willingness to learn about flashing boards
  • Knowledge in one or more of these areas: writing tests in C++ (most desired) or Python, working with an infrastructure or build farm team to set up automated testing, installing Android on devices, Linux testing
