This position requires candidates to be residing in and authorized to work in Dongguan, China. Candidates should be able to regularly and reliably travel to other areas of China to perform on-site inspections, as well as attend calls during US business hours when requested (approx. 10 pm to 6 am BJT/CST).

We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality team in China. This individual will be responsible for both on-site and off-site QA to ensure the highest quality standards are being met for our products. Inspections and on-site visits with our partners in China will be a large part of their role. They will also be responsible for investigating and resolving QA issues flagged internally, and enforcing a cycle of continuous improvement with our suppliers.

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager, APAC. The person in this role will work closely with the additional members of our quality and product development teams. They will also be a key partner to our external suppliers and other companies/individuals involved in Glorious’ production process.

Compensation

The starting annual salary for this role is ¥180,300-218,000 CNY depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and education.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections for quality standards on products and components in various stages of the product development process
• Schedule and conduct on-site quality inspections at suppliers’ locations within China
• Identify, document, and resolve any issues identified during inspections, ensuring that all suppliers and partners are upheld to the Glorious standard of quality
• Investigate, follow up on, and resolve issues identified by internal testers and/or other members of the Quality team
• Investigate, follow up on, and resolve issues identified during the Mass Production process
• Report regularly on all findings, issues, and resolutions to the Quality Manager and Director of Quality

Requirements

• Located and authorized to work in Dongguan, China
• Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection
• The ability to attend internal meetings or take calls during US business hours
• The ability to regularly and reliably travel to perform on-site inspections
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin; fluency in Cantonese is a plus, but not required
• 3+ years of experience working in a quality assurance or inspection role with electronics, computer components, or gaming equipment; experience performing QA with gaming peripherals such as keyboards and mice is a plus
• Demonstrated experience performing on-site inspections at multiple stages of the product development and manufacturing process (e.g. PPI, FRI, sample stage)
• Demonstrated ability to provide detailed written/verbal feedback and actionable next steps to suppliers and other partners as the result of quality inspections
• Proven ability to understand and interpret complex technical drawings and product specifications
• Familiarity with quality tools and procedures including SPC, GR&R, and CMM
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• The ability to work independently without direct/on-site supervision for long periods of time
