Job Description

Osmind is the premier platform for clinicians and researchers advancing new life-saving mental health treatments. Today, mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of death worldwide, especially among young adults, and are tied to shortening lifespans. While there have been developments in new psychiatric medications since the first FDA approval in 1954, today there is a growing movement among clinicians, patients, and researchers who are recognizing the need to accelerate new science.

The Osmind treatment platform is the first and only solution that solves specific challenges faced by neuropsychiatric clinics, spanning general psychiatry and interventional psychiatry (transcranial magnetic stimulation, ketamine, SPRAVATO®, psychedelic medicine, electroconvulsive therapy). The core electronic health record (EHR) technology is precisely developed for interventional treatment workflows and designed to support a strong therapeutic alliance, including journaling tools and assistance with health plan reimbursement, which is a significant access hurdle for millions of patients.

Research from our platform is already helping to set new standards for mental health interventions. For example, in the largest published real-world analysis of ketamine infusion therapy for depression, we teamed up with Stanford University School of Medicine to share findings in the Journal of Affective Disorders (March 2022). We have multiple ongoing research studies leveraging our proprietary real-world data, including an even larger ketamine analysis leveraging machine learning to predict treatment outcomes.

Osmind is a San Francisco–based public benefit corporation led by scientists, technologists, and psychiatrists. We are backed by top investors including DFJ Growth, General Catalyst, Future Ventures, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator.

The Opportunity

We are a [series B] funded Public Benefit Corporation (PBC) building something that actually moves the needle on the global mental health crisis. (See here for an article our cofounder Jimmy wrote about PBC’s.)

This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco. A minimum of 2 days per week in the office on a regular basis, more often as needed.

At Osmind, we pride ourselves on providing a great provider and patient experience through our software. We are looking for an enthusiastic Recruiter to extend the same delightful experience to candidates, hiring teams, and our broader employee population as Osmind continues to scale.

As one of the first points of contact for potential hires, you will work with candidates and internal stakeholders across the company to provide the best interview and hiring experience. This is also an opportunity to play a thought partner in identifying creative ways to attract talent, deliver a best-in-class candidate experience, and implement scalable processes as we grow.

You'll also have responsibility around Osmind's employee experience, building programs and supporting a healthy environment to improve employee productivity and satisfaction

What You'll Do as a Recruiter (70%)
  • Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers for technical and non-technical roles across all levels.
  • Partner closely with the Leadership Team to align hiring strategies with business objectives and workforce planning needs.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers and interviewers by managing a high volume of interviews and providing timely updates.
  • Own and optimize the recruiting pipeline, ensuring best practices for job descriptions, interview processes, and candidate experience.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through clear, professional, and timely communication at every stage of the hiring process.
  • Drive continuous improvement in recruiting operations, including reporting, system enhancements, referral programs, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from offer acceptance to onboarding for a successful new hire experience.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, representing Osmind and fostering a positive candidate perception.

  • What You'll Do as an Office Manager (30%)
  • Build a positive and productive employee experience for all remote and in-person (SF-based) employees, contributing toward overall employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee office operations and facilities to maintain a productive, welcoming, and well-equipped work environment.
  • Manage our SF office: office supplies, kitchen offerings, mail processing, and reception duties to support daily office needs.
  • Coordinate onsite logistics for visiting remote employees, ensuring they have a smooth and successful in-office experience.
  • Support the remote employee experience by ensuring parity across the employee base, regardless of location.
  • Support company remote and in-person events, enhancing team collaboration and engagement

  • Some candidates may see the list above and feel discouraged because they don't match all the items. Please apply anyway: there's a good chance you also have important skills we’ve missed! We are committed to diversity and building an equitable and inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and experiences, and we're taking steps to meet that commitment. We especially encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, underrepresented people of color, LGBTQ+ people, veterans, and people with disabilities.

Osmind is a public benefit corporation and platform for clinicians and researchers advancing new life-saving mental health treatments.
