About the Role

● This role is part of the Advanced Analytics team which is responsible for providing custom
measurement solutions reporting as well as data support needs across the Commercial segment.

● This role will directly manage up to ten client-facing analysts responsible for supporting a variety
of custom reporting needs across Nielsen products, including Nielsen ONE Ads and Content,
NPOWER, Ad Intel, KeepingTrac, NMI, and more.

Responsibilities
  • People Management: Ability to manage a team of analysts, train and develop talent/subject
  • matter experts within the group, and work with senior management within the Advanced Audience team

  • Project Management: This fast-paced position will require you to manage your time across
  • multiple projects, overseeing team’s workload, training, and ensuring your analysts complete
  • projects in a timely fashion
  • Work together with analysts and other stakeholders on projects and use technical knowledge to ensure work is completed as efficiently as possible by translating vague requirements into concrete specs
  • Communicate openly with senior management within the Advanced Audience team to identify roadblocks, process improvements, and plan ongoing training

  • Key Skills
  • 4-6 yrs of experience in team and project management
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and resources in a fast-paced environment
  • Fine attention to detail and focus on data quality to ensure team consistently delivers insightful and accurate reports
  • A track record of facilitating training and promoting ongoing learning and development
  • Ability to translate understanding of projects into thorough questions and clarifications at the start of projects and provide support to analysts executing the project.
  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with formatting data and/or advanced experience with Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivots, charts, slicers etc.)
  • Elementary coding skills and experience with Python, VBA or SQL or linking datasets
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI would be a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Focus on marketing/market research, statistics, economics, other social sciences or quantitative fields preferred
  • Knowledge of advertising, marketing or media research
  • Must be an active participant and willing to form and share opinions, identify roadblocks, and collaborate on solutions
  • Most importantly - a willingness to learn and grow in a fast paced, ever evolving tech environment

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
