We are hiring remote workers for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, or NYC areas. At this time, only candidates in these locations will be considered. 

What You’ll Do:

Calm is looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented professional to join us as our first RFP Specialist. The RFP Specialist will play a key role in managing end-to-end Requests for Proposal (RFP) while partnering cross-functionally to craft compelling and valuable responses. 

  • Lead the RFP response process from inception through submission, ensuring compliance with all necessary internal and external requirements and deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for ongoing proposal development
  • Serve as an expert on Calm products and market positioning to effectively address client needs
  • Create high-quality proposals that effectively communicate Calm’s value proposition to potential clients 
  • Review, update and amend our RFI/RFP processes to be more efficient and effective where needed
  • Develop clear and concise content, ensuring alignment with RFP requirements and tailor proposals to address specific client needs and showcase our unique value proposition
  • Implement a rigorous quality assurance process to review and edit proposal content for clarity, coherence, and consistency
  • Manage Calm’s existing internal RFP/RFI tool and keep it up to date with relevant information pertinent to the success of RFP/RFI proposals
  • Work with Calm product teams to own, craft and deliver product release notes for internal and external education and awareness

Who You Are

  • Experience in RFP management and proposal writing, preferably in the HR/benefits space
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong project management skill with the ability to handle multiple proposals and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams

Minimum Requirements:

  • This role typically requires 5+ years of related experience

The on-target earnings for this role are $135,000 annualized with a 85/15 split between base pay and incentive compensation ($114,750 base/$20,250 incentive). The exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and other qualifications. This role is also eligible for equity + comprehensive benefits + 401k + flexible time off.
