About the position

We seek a dynamic and experienced Events Salesperson to drive our pickleball events initiatives throughout New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for increasing revenue through selling event packages and ensuring an exceptional experience for our clients. We want to hear from you if you have a proven track record in event sales, particularly in corporate, and a passion for creating memorable event experiences.

 

Job Title: Senior Events Sales (New York City) 

This role is a great fit for someone with a background in corporate event planning, hospitality, or experiential event sales who is energized by a fast-paced, sports and wellness environment."

What You’ll Be Responsible For:‍

  • Drive CityPickle’s revenue by selling pickleball corporate events, team-building events, private social events, and special private buyouts
  • Identify and engage potential clients interested in hosting pickleball events at all of our CityPickle locations, including Wollman Rink in Central Park, our new flagship in Times Square, Hudson Yards, Long Island City, Brooklyn Bridge, Atlantic Terminal, Philadelphia, and Boca Raton, Florida.
  • Manage all phases of the events process, from inbound inquiries, outbound prospecting, proposals, negotiations, and contracts.
  • Develop and present tailored pickleball event proposals to meet the specific needs of corporate and social clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining long-term relationships.

 

Qualifications

  • Catering, food and beverage, or culinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrive in a hybrid, fast-paced environment.
  • Bright energy, a collaborative spirit, and a drive for excellence.
  • Strong writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Bachelor's degree with at least three years of corporate sales, event planning, or entertainment experience.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Tripleseat, Slack, and Canva is a plus
  • Passion for pickleball, racquet sports, or sports-focused events is ideal

 

Compensation

$70,000-$80,000 based on experience plus commission.
