Overview
The Sales Commission Analyst will be responsible for driving all aspects related to Nielsen's Sales Incentive Plans (SIP). This person will work cross-collaboratively to ensure that commission payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conducts the commission plan administration activities including plans setup, management of monthly and quarterly commission payment cycles, and ensuring timely distribution of reports and processing of commission payments.
  • Tracks and reports on key metrics to determine efficiency of commission plans and understand opportunities for improving commission plans alignment to business objectives.
  • Partners with IT, commissions vendor, Finance and sales to drive improvements in commission processing.
  • Drives process adoption, discipline and governance, in compliance with company policies and the established commission plans.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of commission plans, including but not limited to targets, commission rates, bonuses, commission multipliers, SPIFFs, Product Kickers.
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with the field to provide a comprehensive understanding of how their commission plans work.
  • Research queries and understand data flows to explain variances in commission pay and/or target attainment.
  • Run daily audits to make sure payment accuracy.

  • Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a Sales Commission Analyst or similar role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Possesses a strong customer service mindset
  • Experience working with and extracting data from sales CRMs, such as Salesforce
  • Experience working with HR data and analytics systems such as SAP SuccessFactors
  • Advanced knowledge with Google Sheets and Excel

    A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $50,000 - $80,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location. The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
