What We’re Looking For:

Cloud9 is looking for a high-performing Sales Director to help us with outbound and inbound sales opportunities. We are looking for someone that has a desire to work with our partnerships and product teams to develop inventory and packaging and help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.

This role will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales cycle
  • Represent the company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings
  • Research consumer needs and identify how our solutions meet them
  • Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives as the team grows
  • Category prospecting, outbound lead generation, inbound lead management, meeting scheduling, presentation building, partnership ideation and scoping
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Sales experience, ideally within esports
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business administration preferred
  • Scrappy, hungry, and willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Successful previous experience meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business acumen and industry expertise
  • Excellent responsiveness, organization, and collaboration skills
  • A big plus if you have gaming experience, esports knowledge, worked with content creators and/or partnerships

  • The wage range for this role incorporates the multiple factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150,000 - $200,000 plus commission
  • You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
