The Role - Salesforce Architect (9 month FTC)

About your role

Genius Sports is about to embark on a programme of work to fully automate its order to cash process. We have a good baseline Salesforce implementation, using Sales Cloud, the right pieces on the board and a talented internal team however our revenue is growing faster than our current programmes can keep up with and we want to take maximum advantage of a one-time initiative to build rock solid foundations upon which our future growth will be built.

We have engaged with a 3rd party to conduct an end-to-end review of our business processes and provide an Enterprise Architecture-level view of what is possible and now want to engage an immediately available Solutions Architect to get into the detail and bring it to life.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly dynamic tech organisation at the heart of revolutionising sport.

Who you are

  • A superb communicator, able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Someone who can unpick complex problems and deliver concise recommendations
  • Someone who understands that our colleagues will have to live with the decisions you make for years to come; you will design sustainable, extensible, and supportable solutions
  • An experienced Solution Architect with 5+ years' experience in the eco-system
  • A subject matter expert with B2B Solution Architecture, AI Specialist, Data Architect, or Integration Architect certifications.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience of successfully architecting multiple programmes of work in the ERP space, ideally using systems such as Certinia (FinancialForce) or Revenue Cloud.
  • Deep knowledge of Salesforce, in particular CPQ and invoicing through Salesforce. This is essentially metered billing, and you will understand that problem space.
  • Ideally you will have previously worked in an ecosystem also containing Workday, Juro & Snowflake or other data platforms.
  • Expertise in the field of systems integration, both iPaaS (likely Mulesoft) and point to point; you choose the right solution for the right problem
  • An understanding of how the billing process translates into revenue recognition and downstream financial processes.
  • Experience in working with a blend of outsourced development partners and internal resource
  • The ability to balance solving the problem at hand vs the future capabilities we will need from the ecosystem

What you’ll do

  • Represent the interests of Genius Sports amongst multiple vendors to deliver a fully functional solution
  • Not be afraid of getting hands on, if you need to get into the weeds of code or configuration, you will be capable of telling the good from the bad
  • Contribute to the RFP to ensure we select a partner who can build a solution that meets our needs
  • Act as the point of liaison between multiple internal stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Create excellent documentation, write down your work, designs, decisions to ensure we have absolute requirements traceability
  • Analyse our current implementation of Salesforce, decide where we customise, where we push for OOTB
  • Be a cool head in turbulent waters
  • Hand a working solution over to BAU

How we work

Our employees are empowered to stretch the boundaries of what’s achievable, always reaching further and pushing the edges to see what gives. We collaborate, we innovate, and we celebrate. We will continue to grow as an organization and continue to invest in our highly talented and diverse team of Geniuses.

Genius Sports Group is proud to be an equal opportunities employer. We recognize and celebrate the benefits that a diverse and inclusive workforce bring to our business, our customers and our staff.
