Voldex is hiring a Security & IT Specialist to support and improve how our devices, systems, access, and security processes are managed and secured across the company. 💡
This role sits at the intersection of security, systems, and day-to-day operations — owning how devices, access, and internal tools are managed across a growing, remote-first company. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we approach device management and security, from defining standards and improving processes to ensuring teams have reliable, secure access to the tools they need to move quickly.
This isn’t a purely reactive IT role. It’s an opportunity to build, improve, and take ownership of how security and internal systems scale. You’ll identify gaps, implement practical solutions, and help establish clear, scalable processes that support a high-velocity environment.
Working closely with cross-functional partners, you’ll balance strong security practices with speed and practicality — ensuring that what you build strengthens our systems without slowing down development workflows.
Support and improve Voldex’s security practices and internal device management across a scaling remote workforce. Ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient foundations that support high-velocity game development
Design, implement, and maintain company-wide device configuration, security, and compliance standards (e.g., encryption, access controls)
Establish clear, documented standards, processes, and self-service mechanisms for device provisioning, access requests, and lifecycle management, enabling teams to operate independently with minimal ongoing support
Partner closely with Engineering and other teams to implement process, tooling, and security changes in a way that does not negatively impact development workflows or release timelines
Proactively identify risks and inefficiencies across devices, systems, and access processes, then contribute practical, scalable solutions that strengthen security posture while preserving speed and team autonomy
Support identity and access management (including SSO, least-privilege principles, software distribution, and auditability), ensuring teams have secure yet frictionless access to the tools they need
Manage device lifecycle processes (provisioning, configuration, maintenance, and secure decommissioning) while continuously monitoring device health, security posture, and compliance
Secure & regularly audit external platforms (e.g., Discord, Roblox groups, and internal tools), ensuring appropriate access controls, permissions, and protection against misuse or compromise
Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that improve security maturity, automation, and operational efficiency as the company scales
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
3+ years of experience in IT Administration
Experience managing device environments and security within a remote-first or distributed company of similar size or larger than Voldex
Strong attention to detail when handling permissions and system access
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests across teams
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of internal systems and processes
Experience managing access and permissions across SaaS tools (e.g., SSO software, Google Workspace, admin panels, etc.)
Experience working with MDM platforms and familiarity with endpoint security best practices
Comfortable evaluating and recommending tools or systems where standards are not yet fully defined
Experience working in a gaming company
