THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Client Services (Adult Beverage Client)

CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.

***Our headquarters is in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be in or near the NYC or CT area.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Account Executive to join our fast-paced Client Services team, working on the strategic management of AB InBev’s global sports sponsorship portfolio! This person will report to the Account Director and will support the account team on the day to day of AB InBev’s high-profile portfolio. Additionally, this position helps service the ABI global brand portfolios on brand initiative events. This position will work with various stakeholders including client, agency partners, and production vendors to bring these sponsorships to life.

The role’s primary objective is to keep all projects on track, ensuring the successful activation of sponsorships from campaign concept to execution by leading the project approvals, asset management and project management for multiple stakeholders. The SAE has project management responsibilities and requires the ability to effectively influence key decision makers as well as solve problems independently. Excellent interpersonal, communication and client management skills required.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Function as project management support for various global sponsorships
  • Create and maintain global status reporting to track all deliverables and deadlines through all phases of project
  • Day-to-day communications with all internal and external stakeholders (including AB InBev, partners, agencies, and vendors)
  • Host multiple regular (weekly or bi-weekly) meetings with various AB InBev stakeholders and agencies
  • Coordinate partnership asset development, feedback and approvals, ticket requests and fulfillment, and sponsorship asset allocation and reporting
  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of sponsorship (i.e. budget creation, program development, compliance management, logistics, and reconciliation) where available
  • Develop event specific roadbooks and other event documents
  • Provide on-site event management/activation/rights delivery support as needed
  • Lead all aspects of program planning from the initial stages through onsite execution and wrap-up (research and develop tactical plans, lead conference/team calls, handle client and vendor relationships, etc.)
  • Support account billing processes including budgets and vendor payments
  • Develop monthly client newsletters & annual landscape reports

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years’ experience in related field
  • Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve and work effectively under pressure while working as both part of a team as well as independently
  • Experience with on-site event management and execution
  • Experience managing partner relationships including vendors, suppliers, and assets
  • Experience successfully working with culturally diverse clients
  • Experience with global brands and/or rights holders is a plus
  • Desire and confidence to present materials to clients
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to handle precise financial records, budgets and reconciliation
  • Able to work weekend, holiday and non-traditional hours, as required
  • “Pitch in and get your hands dirty” type of demeanor required
  • Ability to travel internationally is a requirement; A valid passport, or the ability to obtain a passport at a later date is required

Compensation + Benefits:

  • L2: This position pays $50,000, is overtime-eligible, and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
