The Senior Accounts Payable (AP) Analyst is responsible for supporting the entire accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining compliance with internal financial policies and controls. In this role you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of incoming invoices and contribute to the seamless execution of our accounts payable processes across multiple entities globally.

 

• Ensure vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner;
• Continuously evaluate the AP process and suggest improvements for efficiency and accuracy;
• Implement automation tools and systems to streamline AP workflows;
• Develop and update AP policies and procedures in line with industry best practices;
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and regulatory requirements;
• Provide regular reporting on AP metrics, aging reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management;
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, accounting, treasury) to ensure proper flow of information and alignment on payment policies;
• Contribute to bank reconciliation and month-end closing processes and reporting;
• Support audit processes, including internal and external audits of accounts payable activities;
• Assist with the global expansion plan by implementing AP operations in new markets;
• Support the AP manager as required in measuring and achieving department KPIs and leading the AP team at management's discretion;
• Train and develop AP team members, including setting objectives and conducting performance evaluations.

 

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business;
• A Master’s degree in Finance or Business will be considered an asset;
• 3+ years of working experience in a relevant role, ideally in a corporate international environment;
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g Microsoft BC) and AP automation tools is highly desirable;
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and tax regulations;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek;
• Excellent computer and Excel skills.
