Job Overview

Wargaming Shanghai is looking for an experienced game client developer who is expected to bring his passion to the team and is ready to learn a lot about building features with a unique cross-platform game engine. This role also has the opportunity of leading a small group of client developers focusing on the development of content for China players.

Reports To

Product Manager, World of Tanks, Blitz 

What will you do?

• Work with game design, art teams, and other stakeholders, support existing systems and create new ones

• Identifies and defines technical solutions for various gameplay features following design documentation

• Integrate the game client with operations services

• Ensures that newly developed features and systems meet minimum requirements and match the project code style

• Produces efficient code and participates in code reviews

• Optimizes and fixes bugs in existing gameplay systems

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• High proficiency in C++ and 5+ years of experience in a hands-on development role in commercial game projects

• Knowledge of classic algorithms, data structures, and design patterns

• Familiar with popular software development management systems

• Comfortable collaborating remotely with international developer teams in an English environment

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience working in mobile game development is a plus

• Team management experience is a plus
