Job Overview

Wargaming Shanghai is looking for an experienced game client developer who is expected to bring his passion to the team and is ready to learn a lot about building features with a unique cross-platform game engine. This role also has the opportunity of leading a small group of client developers focusing on the development of content for China players.

Reports To

Product Manager, World of Tanks, Blitz

What will you do?

Work with game design, art teams, and other stakeholders, support existing systems and create new ones

Identifies and defines technical solutions for various gameplay features following design documentation

Integrate the game client with operations services

Ensures that newly developed features and systems meet minimum requirements and match the project code style
Produces efficient code and participates in code reviews
Optimizes and fixes bugs in existing gameplay systems

What are we looking for?

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
High proficiency in C++ and 5+ years of experience in a hands-on development role in commercial game projects
Knowledge of classic algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
Familiar with popular software development management systems
Comfortable collaborating remotely with international developer teams in an English environment

What additional skills will help you stand out?

Experience working in mobile game development is a plus
Team management experience is a plus
