We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to spearhead our analytical efforts, deriving actionable insights from complex data sets and focusing on supporting our UK B2C (Business-to-Consumer) operations. 

This role is ideal for a seasoned analytics professional with a deep understanding of data verification, expert-level proficiency in advanced analytics tools, and exceptional skills in interpreting data to provide strategic recommendations. 

You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the B2C domain, leveraging your extensive experience to guide critical business decisions and drive impactful outcomes through data-driven insights.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading analytical projects with strategic importance, utilising advanced data modelling and predictive analytics to drive business innovation.
• Providing expert analytical support specifically for the UK B2C side of the business, ensuring insights and recommendations are tailored to consumer-driven strategies.
• Functioning as the analytics lead on initiatives, establishing best practices, and providing guidance and mentorship in analytical methodologies.
• Providing authoritative insights using this specialist knowledge to enhance the impact and relevance of analytical outputs.
• Conducting sophisticated SQL querying and analysis, transforming complex data into clear, compelling insights that drive business actions.
• Communicating complex data findings with exceptional clarity, persuading and informing stakeholders across the business to support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

• You have vast experience working in a data analytics role, demonstrating expertise in generating actionable business insights from complex data sets.
• Expert-level proficiency in analytics tools and BI software, including Thoughtspot and Amplitude, to uncover hidden patterns and inform strategic decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, investigate, and rectify data discrepancies, ensuring the utmost data integrity.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying intricate data insights to stakeholders at all levels, facilitating informed decision-making.
• Strong industry knowledge, with a particular emphasis on horse racing, or a demonstrated passion for the sport, which is crucial for providing context to data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL for complex querying and analysis, with the ability to extract, analyse, and turn data into actionable insights.

Highly desirable skills:

• Experience working with Python.
• Educational background in Mathematics/Statistics.
