About This Role

iRhythm is currently seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Sr Director, Agile Transformation and Product Management Operations.  In this role you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire product teams working on both current and future generations of our medical sensing products.  Your experience in implementing Agile ways of working with both physical and software medical device teams will enable us to rapidly deliver innovative new products to the patients and providers who need them.  You will have the opportunity to lead our Product Management transformation as we partner and work cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory and Quality teams.  The operational discipline you will bring will underpin our performance in both sustaining our current product portfolio as well as accelerating the launch of new features and product categories.  Our work environment is fast paced, with a collaborative atmosphere.   This role can be remote with occasional travel for team and/or customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Enable new and existing cross-functional product teams to operationalize and implement advanced Agile principles that support dynamic product management and accelerated delivery
  • Bring an operational excellence discipline to multiple product teams; enable and optimize ways of working to improve speed to market.
  • Mentor product managers and help them to navigate agile product delivery within a complex medical device design control environment
  • Promote a culture of rapid innovation with timely delivery driven by product strategy, agility and an understanding of larger product systems.
  • Lead organizational initiatives to diversify our sources of product intelligence, strategy, design and execution.
  • Identify and manage external partners to provide product management and user experience teams with key skill sets not on staff
  • Ensure product management team’s adherence to financial discipline; achievement of financial targets; optimization of partner costs
  • Collaborate with product management leaders to track and communicate actual financial performance to original product business cases.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile best practices when it comes to cross-functional product management
  • Proven ability to effectively mentor product leaders, including peers, in operationalizing agile delivery within product teams
  • Experience implementing Agile product management in collaboration with R&D, Quality and Regulatory organizations
  • Knowledge of medical device development processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical device design control, regulatory and legal/privacy best practices
  • Ability to understand and act upon complex medical, mathematical, scientific and technological concepts
  • Experience managing organizations with and without direct authority

Education And Experience Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Masters degree preferred
  • At least 10 years of proven experience in medical device or related healthcare product management, program management or product development
  • At least 7 years’ experience with a proven track record of successfully leading a process improvement function, including experience in developing leaders and managers.

Estimated Pay Range
$227,300$333,700 USD
