Job Summary:

As a Sr. Director, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, you will play a crucial role in extracting actionable insights from data to drive informed business decisions. Your responsibilities will include data collection, analysis, and translating complex findings into meaningful recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and a solid understanding of business processes

Job Responsibilities:

Business Insights and Decision Support:

• Translating Data: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, compiling business intelligence or trends to present complex data findings and actionable recommendations in a clear manner.
• Actionable Insights: Provide recommendations to help teams make informed decisions based on empirical evidence.
• Market Surveys: Conduct market surveys to compare internal findings against competitors and industry trends. 

Data Collection and Analysis:

• Gathering Data: Collect data from diverse sources, including company databases, APIs, spreadsheets, web analytics, industry and field reports, public information, and/or purchased sources
• Data Cleansing: Ensure data quality by identifying and correcting errors, missing values, and inconsistencies.

• Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analyses to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations.

Visualization and Reporting:

• Creating Visualizations: Develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively.
• Business Reports: Summarize key findings and recommendations for various levels within the organization.

Strategic Initiatives:

• Goal Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for broader business efforts, evaluating gaps between and providing road maps in regards to where we are vs where we want to go 
• Assisting Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to align analytics efforts with overall company goals and identify opportunities for growth and operational excellence across the organization.       
• Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements/Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science,  analytics, economics, statistics, math, computer science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data science, business intelligence, or-related roles.
• Previous experience with coding languages (SQL, R, Python preferred).  
• Previous experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).  
• Previous experience in the sports industry is preferred.  
• Knowledge of database architecture and cloud network architecture is preferred.  
• Knowledge of ticketing systems is a plus (Ticketmaster preferred).  
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to dissect complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and industry trends.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying improvement areas and proposing solutions based on data-driven insights.
• Ability to Work Effectively: In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to create, manage, and understand databases as well as technology-driven business intelligence tools.

Compensation:

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually + variable pay.
