About the role and about You:

As the Senior Director of eCommerce you will lead our sales and ecommerce function to ensure that our website is the ultimate destination for engaging and bringing new customers onto Zwift. You will ensure that visitors have the best end-to-end experience on our site by quickly and easily understanding the benefits that Zwift has to offer them, and then equipping them with everything they need to get started. You are a digital-native who thrives in a fast-paced environment driving business growth through collaborative teamwork. You are a self-starter who proactively engages with a range of stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes. You are equally at ease working with senior leadership as well as “getting your hands dirty” with operational teams. This role will manage a small team of ecommerce / web experts and work cross functionally across marketing, data, product, engineering and supply chain to ensure we deliver the best outcome for customers and our business. You will lead our web strategy working hand in hand with our product team to optimize the customer experience. You will be accountable for the performance of our software and hardware sales. To do this you will work cross-functionally to implement marketing, sales, and product tactics to improve revenue performance. You will also play a leading role in defining our commercial strategy to grow Zwift through D2C, B2C and B2B channels. Your team will own 3rd party commercial partnerships across hardware, apparel and soft good partners. 

What you’ll do:

  • Define and manage our web strategy to ensure that our site offer prospects a clear and compelling understanding of why and how they can zwift
  • Be accountable for our software and hardware sales leading onsite efforts to optimize this performance to meet business targets (key outcome metrics are traffic conversion and revenue)
  • Accountable for ecommerce merchandising, assortment and promotional activity
  • Work collaboratively with marketing teams to maximize the volume and quality of traffic to site
  • Play a leading role alongside our product team in reviewing, testing and optimizing the key customer journeys on our site. 
  • Work collaboratively with our Product, Engineering and Content teams to define our personalisation roadmap.
  • Own our commercial strategy across DTC, B2C and B2B categories to maximize growth
  • Own sales planning, defining targets and reporting against these. Work with marketing (category marketing and channel leads) and 3rd party distributor partners to deliver on these targets
  • Work closely with Supply Chain planning to analyze performance, forecast sales/volume and identify levers to drive further demand and revenue
  • Be accountable for commercial relationships with 3rd party brands selling on our site to ensure that they meet both our commercial and customer requirements
  • Own the content strategy for our website and associated websites (eg. Zwift Insider, Zwift Power) to ensure that they are best supporting acquisition, engagement and retention activities
  • Define effective ways of working around the management of our website between marketing, product, engineering and supply chain functions
  • Lead, develop and grow the existing ecommerce/web team as a high performing function at the core of growth efforts

What we’re looking for: 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in ecommerce, digital marketing and/or b2c retail
  • +5 years working in a digital-first business
  • A proven track record of leading revenue, web or ecommerce functions to deliver strong customer and business performance
  • A background leading teams both within function and cross-functionally to successfully deliver business outcomes
  • A data savvy leader who is adept at using behavioural and attitudinal data to inform customer experiences and business decisions
  • A keen interest in the sports and fitness sectors with broad based knowledge of the cycling and running industry,
  • Someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and international environment.
  • Open-minded, flexible and have a positive attitude toward new challenges, with a willingness to learn, embrace new technologies and business change.

Bonus points: 

  • Experience working in businesses that offer both software and hardware products
  • Worked within Sports, Cycling or Fitness industries
  • Experience working across international markets

For All US Based Full-Time Positions:

The base salary for this position ranges between $193,500 to $260,000. The base salary will be based on a number of factors including the role offered, the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, Zwift is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for all eligible employees which also includes performance bonuses, equity, and a full range of medical, financial, and other perks and benefits.
