THE ROLE

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Director, Growth Finance & FP&A based in Ireland, to join our growing Finance team. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, you will have direct responsibility for the business hitting its growth targets, working closely with the European (EU) leadership teams to drive growth through monitoring performance and analyzing data to yield actionable insights that will drive performance for the EU region. 

You will have ownership for the FP&A function in the EU. You will own the EU’s financial planning and forecasting processes, partnering with leaders across the business to deliver actionable insights to improve financial, business and customer outcomes. You will have the exciting opportunity to grow and develop as a finance professional leading growth finance analytics, reporting and performance management, forecast modeling, forecasting and budgeting, financial analysis, management reporting, and data analytics.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and own the EU regional budget from the ground up, from target setting to delivering the results through partnering with business leaders across customer acquisition, retention and supply chain.
  • Analyze data to develop actionable insights to drive better acquisition and retention performance in partnership with the EU leadership team.
  • Run key performance management processes like the Weekly Business Review, Monthly Business Review and Quarterly Business Review. 
  • Manage the core Growth Finance planning tools including the EU revenue model, retention model, acquisition and retention dashboards.
  • Report business performance and return on investment opportunities up to the CLT and finance leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Help build and maintain detailed and dynamic financial models to inform monthly forecasts, budgeting/planning across the P&L, investment evaluation and prioritization, and operational decision-making.
  • Partner & support European Business Lead by tracking business performance, exercising expenditure and investment controls, determining cost structure savings, providing scenario planning and financial modeling support and identifying risks and opportunities to our financial outlook to promote growth.
  • Analyze operational and analytical processes connected to each accounting period close, including accruals, variance analysis, management reporting, and/or model recalibrations as necessary.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles that drive our strategy.
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and deep dive performance reviews to improve the accuracy of our forecasting.
  • Partner with FP&A teammates to provide data for the Company consolidated model as well as support in building monthly and quarterly leadership presentations.
  • Proactively research and resolve financial inquiries, issues and ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Look to automate, streamline and constantly improve all FP&A processes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 10+ years of prior experience in Finance with an Ecommerce business, FP&A, Investment Banking or Consulting (prior experience at a high-growth start-up is a plus).
  • Exceptional grasp of key Growth Finance concepts such as conversion funnel, retention, churn, CAC, LTV, LTV:CAC and more.
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills and a very high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets with a deep understanding of model architecture, formula efficiency, and pivot tables.
  • Solid grasp of the 3 financial statements, with a high aptitude and enthusiasm for problem-solving through quantitative modeling and analysis.
  • Strong communicator, with a willingness to build cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong ownership of work and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a consistent “can-do” attitude. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with EU business operations and specific local rules.
  • Fluency in English.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €145,819 - €182,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
