We are in search of an experienced SAP ABAP HR Developer who will be designing, developing, and customizing SAP HR modules (like Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Management, and Organizational Management) using ABAP programming. Key responsibilities include creating technical specifications, writing and debugging ABAP programs, developing HR workflows, working with IDocs, integrating HR with other SAP modules and SuccessFactors, and providing post-implementation support. Collaboration with functional teams and adherence to best practices and coding standards are also essential, with experience in OData and CDS Views is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Development & Customization: Design, develop, and customize SAP HR programs and applications using the ABAP programming language.
HR Module Expertise: Work extensively with SAP HR modules, including Personnel Administration, Payroll, Time Management, and Organizational Management.
Technical Design & Documentation: Create technical specifications for complex developments and maintain clear, up-to-date technical documentation.
Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing and integration testing, as well as debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications to ensure they meet business requirements.
Enhancements & Workflows: Develop and enhance HR workflows, ABAP objects, and other applications based on business needs.
Integration: Develop and troubleshoot IDoc (inbound and outbound) processing for smooth data exchange between SAP and external systems.
Collaboration: Work closely with functional teams (e.g., SD, MM, FI) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
Code Reviews & Standards: Participate in code reviews and ensure all code adheres to development best practices and industry standards.
Support & Maintenance: Provide post-implementation support and maintenance for ABAP applications, assist with change requests, and resolve production issues.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
Core ABAP: Strong hands-on experience in Core ABAP programming.
HR Module Knowledge: In-depth business process and functional knowledge of SAP HR modules.
Technical Tools: Proficiency with key technologies like Smartforms, Adobe Forms, HRFORMS, BDC, RFC, Module Pool, and OOP.
Preferred Skills: Experience with OData and CDS Views, SAP HANA, and SAP Fiori is often a plus.
SuccessFactors: Experience with SuccessFactors is highly valued, particularly for modern HR implementations.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
