Summary:
We are seeking an SAP SuccessFactors Technical Configuration Resource to join our HR Technology team (HR Enterprise IT team). In this role, you will be the primary execution engine for our global compensation and performance-driven talent cycles. You will be responsible for configuring, testing, and maintaining our SuccessFactors Compensation, Variable Pay, and Employee Central (EC) Promotion modules.
Working under the direct guidance of a Lead/Senior SuccessFactors Architect, you will ensure seamless execution of Year-End compensation reviews, annual bonus distributions, and mid-year promotion cycles.
1. Annual Year-End Compensation & Bonus Management
● Template & Rule Configuration: Set up and maintain SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay templates, including worksheets, executive review views, and salary structures.
● Eligibility & Business Rules: Configure complex eligibility rules, guidelines, and look-up tables to determine merit increases, equity grants, and annual bonus payouts.
● Bonus Calculations: Formulate and test business logic within the Variable Pay module to calculate payouts based on individual, business unit, and corporate performance modifiers.
2. Mid-Year Promotions & Lifecycle Changes
● EC-to-Comp Integration: Maintain the integration points between Employee Central (EC) and Compensation to support mid-year promotion workflows.
● Event-Driven Configurations: Configure structures to handle off-cycle and mid-year promotion changes, ensuring base salary adjustments, job profile updates, and adjusted bonus targets flow accurately.
3. Cycle Execution & Data Auditing
● Data Preparation: Own the data extraction, validation, and loading processes (via MDF objects, custom fields, and data imports/exports) prior to launching worksheets.
● System Testing & UAT: Execute rigorous unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and support business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by simulating scenarios and edge-cases.
● Statement Generation: Configure, test, and distribute custom personal compensation/bonus statements to employees at the end of the cycle.
4. Technical Collaboration
● Team Alignment: Work closely under the direction of the Senior Technical Resource to implement system enhancements, patch updates, and semi-annual SAP SuccessFactors release updates.
● Tier 2/3 Support: Serve as the technical escalation point for HR Operations during active compensation cycles, troubleshooting route maps, worksheet locks, and calculation errors.
QualificationsQualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 4 years of dedicated technical configuration experience within SAP SuccessFactors.
Module Expertise: Deep configuration knowledge of SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules is mandatory. Solid exposure to Employee Central (EC) is required, specifically regarding job info, compensation info, and foundation objects.
Tools: Proficient with XML configuration (updating Compensation template XMLs), SuccessFactors Business Rules engine, MDF (Metadata Framework), and Route Maps.
Data Literacy: Advanced skills in data manipulation, VLOOKUPs, and data mapping tools to audit incoming employee master data.
Certifications (Preferred but optional if experience is strong): SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP SuccessFactors Compensation or Variable Pay.
Detail-Obsessed: When dealing with people's money and titles, a single decimal error matters. You possess strong data verification and auditing habits.
Clear Communicator: Ability to explain a technical system constraint or a calculation logic gap clearly to HR stakeholders.
Collaborative: Comfortable taking architectural direction from a senior peer and executing it with minimal oversight.
