About the role
We’re now seeking a Senior Financial and Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Services team on a permanent, full-time basis. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead a small team and work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality accounting and tax services across Tennis Australia and its related entities. You’ll play a key part in ensuring accuracy and completeness of Tennis Australia’s general ledger, as well as driving compliance with Australian and international tax legislation. In this role you will: Oversee the preparation, review, and end to end management of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards
" Lead an efficient end of month close process, focused on continuous improvement, leveraging Workday capabilities Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and management of annual audit deliverables, including consolidated group accounts
" Oversee and lead compliance with taxation requirements specific to a not-for-profit organisation, including GST, FBT, withholding tax and any international tax requirements Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development to direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture Be a key player in supporting Finance Team during the Australian Open and other tournaments About you To be successful in this role you will have: A tertiary qualification in accounting or equivalent, and hold a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) accreditation Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, delegate, and deliver to deadlines Proven stakeholder management experience, with the confidence to build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels of the organisation The ability to work autonomously, using sound judgement to problem-solve and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia What’s to love?
