About the Role:

*This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis.*

We are seeking a dedicated Senior FinOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring our cloud spend, particularly on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), identifying cost increases, suggesting and implementing strategies to optimize our expenses, including writing code yourself to improve things. Your proactive approach and keen analytical skills will help us maintain financial efficiency while supporting our growing infrastructure needs.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze cloud spending across all services, with a primary focus on GCP
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud usage and expenses
• Identify and alert the team of any unexpected increases in cloud costs
• Contribute to our codebase of Golang microservices to optimize for cost
• Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to forecast and manage cloud budgets
• Investigate and implement cost-saving measures, including resource optimization and efficient usage practices
• Provide recommendations and insights to the VP of Engineering and other stakeholders on cost management strategies
• Build relationships with engineering teams to execute on these recommendations
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud cost management tools and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a FinOps Engineer, or as a software engineer with significant cost optimizations projects
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly GCP
• Proficiency in using cloud cost management tools (e.g., Google Cloud Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, etc.)
• Understanding of micro services architecture, databases, data flows..
• Ability to write code in Golang, and to develop / maintain Terraform scripts
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, … 
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Fubo’s minimum base salary for this role if hired in New York City is $155,000 per year; maximum base salary for this role is $200,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fubo's equity plan, annual cash bonus plans, unlimited PTO, and a full range of medical benefits. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations.
