<div><span style="font-size: 10.5pt;">The Connectivity Software Team builds the critical link between WHOOP hardware, the iOS app, and the cloud.

As an iOS Software Engineer on this team, you’ll design and implement the software that enables WHOOP’s wearable sensors to communicate seamlessly with the mobile platform.

You’ll develop and optimize connectivity experiences that are robust, efficient, and invisible to the member — ensuring reliable data flow across our entire ecosystem.</span></div></br><b>

RESPONSIBILITIES

• </b></br>
• <li>Design, implement, and maintain iOS application components that interface directly with WHOOP hardware over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, or other communication protocols.</li>
• <li>Develop background and system-level iOS services that ensure reliable device connectivity, synchronization, and data transfer.</li>
• <li>Leverage Swift and Combine to build resilient, efficient, and maintainable reactive pipelines for connectivity and data management.</li>
• <li>Collaborate closely with embedded firmware, mobile, and cloud engineers to diagnose and resolve issues across a distributed system.</li>
• <li>Drive continuous improvement of performance, power efficiency, and reliability in the WHOOP connectivity layer.</li>
• <li>Champion strong software architectural principles for testable, scalable, maintainable software on your own team and across the organization.</li>
• <li>Document new features and architecture using Jira, Confluence and preparing code using Github feature, develop, and master branches.</li>
• <li>Participate in the release process, including getting the app built, managing build variants, signing, sending and testing through Firebase, and submitting to the App store.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

• </b></br>
• <li>BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.</li>
• <li>3+ years of professional iOS software engineering experience with a solid foundation in Swift,&nbsp; iOS system APIs, concurrency, and memory management.</li>
• <li>Hands-on experience with Combine and background task processing for non-UI iOS features.</li>
• <li>Demonstrated examples applying architectural and platform-based software design principals to build scalable, modular, testable software.&nbsp;</li>
• <li>Experience debugging and diagnosing issues across complex or distributed systems (for example: firmware, mobile, backend) is a strong plus.</li>
• <li>Excellent collaboration and communication skills with a focus on cross-functional problem solving.</li>
• <li>Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.</li>

• Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
