Job Description

In short

As Senior Lead Art Director, you will lead the creative development and day-to-day delivery of On’s global E-commerce imagery.

Blending strong fashion sensibility with operational leadership, you will translate the overarching image direction into elevated, consistent and effective e-commerce experiences. You will lead the teams and partners delivering the work, while driving AI-enabled approaches that shape the future of e-commerce image-making at On.

Your Mission

  • Lead the day-to-day creative development of global e-commerce, from seasonal planning and briefing through to shoot execution and delivery.
  • Translate the overarching brand image direction into clear casting, styling, movement, photography and image guidelines.
  • Set and maintain a premium creative standard across on-model, still-life and product-detail imagery.
  • Lead project teams and external partners, creating clarity across creative, production, styling, casting, photography and post-production.
  • Bring strong creative judgement to set, making confident decisions and solving challenges independently.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Art Direction to evolve how brand image is experienced across e-commerce.
  • Drive the adoption of AI across e-commerce image-making, developing new workflows and scalable approaches that improve quality, consistency and efficiency.
  • Identify and lead AI pilots from early testing through to practical implementation across production.
  • Explore scalable image solutions for sell-in, working closely with the seasonal creative leads to retain the right product and brand expression.
  • Connect e-commerce with the wider seasonal Apparel world, translating relevant direction from lookbooks, editorial and brand imagery into the channel.
  • Mentor and develop Art Directors working across e-commerce, supporting stronger creative ownership and execution.

Your Story

  • 8+ years of experience in art direction within a global brand or agency.
  • You bring significant art direction experience from fashion, sportswear, luxury or another highly visual global brand.
  • You have a strong portfolio demonstrating premium fashion and e-commerce image-making.
  • You understand how casting, styling, photography, lighting, movement and post-production work together to create a distinctive image world.
  • You have experience leading complex, high-volume shoots and guiding multidisciplinary creative teams and partners.
  • You combine strong creative instinct with the structure required to deliver consistently at scale.
  • You are confident making decisions, solving problems independently and bringing clarity to fast-moving projects.
  • You have experience with—or a strong ambition to lead—AI-enabled image creation, automation and emerging creative workflows.
  • You understand how a wider seasonal brand direction can be translated into commercially effective customer-facing imagery.
  • You are a collaborative and generous leader, able to raise the standard of both the work and the people around you.

About the team

You will join the Apparel Image team within On’s wider creative organisation.

The team shapes how brand image is experienced across e-commerce, sell-in, seasonal editorial and lookbook touchpoints, building a connected and distinctive image world around the product.

Reporting to the Head of Art Direction, you will lead e-commerce and its future transformation while partnering closely with Art Direction, Apparel Design, Production, Digital and external creative teams. Together, you will help define a more premium, scalable and innovative approach to Apparel image-making at On.
