We are seeking an experienced Senior Lighting Artist to bring stunning scenes and environments to life on Destiny 2. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with both SkyBox Labs and the Bungie team to craft unforgettable moments on key expansions of the game.
This is a ideal position for someone with deep experience with in-game lighting and a genuine enthusiasm for creating immersive, visually captivating experiences. A snapshot of your role:Light areas of the game with intentional purpose, ensuring lighting meets art, story, and gameplay objectivesLeverage your artistic abilities and technical skills to make lighting decisions to the best of your abilityContribute your skills and experience to the collective success of the pre-established team and lighting pipelineHandle optimization challenges to ensure proper performanceBe a supportive and collaborative team player, working with other departments as neededSound like you? This is what we're looking for:A minimum of 5+ years professional real-time lighting experience in video gamesExperience with both baked and real-time lighting while working on proprietary game enginesExperience working on AA or AAA video gamesAn excellent eye for light, shadow, colour, and artComprehensive knowledge of lighting performance, optimization, and memory budget managementA strong portfolio showcasing your work and skills in lightingHoned communication and problem solving skills - comfortable working in a teamNice-to-haves:
Experience shipping a major video game titlePersonal experience with photographyAdaptability, shown through exposure to numerous game titles, genres, and art stylesA passion and interest in Destiny 2!Please note, only those who submit a portfolio of applicable lighting assets will be considered for the role.

Estimated Salary range:
Our salary intelligence, powered by our AI algorithms, has calculated an estimated range for this position between $70,000 - $90,000 . Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
