THE ROLE

As Senior Manager, Retail Accounts, you will play a critical role in expanding the presence of AG1 across key retail partners by building strong customer relationships, driving distribution, and delivering consistent, profitable growth.

This role is responsible for leading the business with national retail accounts, including partners such as Grocery and Mass partners while identifying new opportunities to scale the AG1 retail footprint. You will work cross functionally with Sales, Brand, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations to ensure strong execution, in stock performance, and long term account growth.

This is a highly commercial role requiring strong strategic thinking, financial discipline, and the ability to balance long term planning with day to day execution in a fast growing environment. Travel may be required for customer meetings, line reviews, and industry events.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Account Leadership & Retail Growth

  • Lead the business with key national retail partners including Grocery and Mass partners
  • Develop and execute account plans aligned to company priorities and retail growth objectives
  • Identify opportunities to expand distribution, improve placement, and increase overall account performance
  • Prepare for line reviews, customer meetings, and new product launches in partnership with internal teams

Retail Strategy & Omnichannel Execution Account Leadership & Retail Growth

  • Manage product placement, promotional calendars, and merchandising across in store and digital channels
  • Navigate each retailer’s ecosystem to ensure strong execution across physical retail and retailer.com environments
  • Partner with Shopper Marketing and Brand to deliver effective retail programs and activations
  • Ensure all programs align with brand standards, retailer requirements, and commercial goals

Performance Management & Forecasting

  • Own account forecasts and monitor performance against plan
  • Analyze sales, distribution, and promotional results to identify risks and opportunities
  • Partner with Demand Planning and Supply Chain to maintain strong in stock performance
  • Implement corrective actions to improve velocity and overall account health

Trade & Financial Management

  • Manage trade spend and ensure investments align with approved plans and budget targets
  • Maintain accountability for account level P&L performance
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and return on investment
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, planning, and profitability analysis

Customer Relationship Management 

  • Build strong relationships with buyers, category managers, merchandising teams, and ecommerce partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts
  • Partner with brokers and agency partners to support account execution
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure alignment and strong performance

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Work closely with Brand, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Finance, and Operations
  • Ensure internal teams are aligned on customer plans, timelines, and priorities
  • Communicate account needs clearly to stakeholders
  • Help resolve issues quickly to support smooth execution

Market & Category Insights

  • Monitor category trends, competitive activity, and retailer performance
  • Use syndicated data, retailer reporting, and internal analytics to inform decisions
  • Translate insights into actionable plans that support growth
  • Help position AG1 as a leader within the health and wellness category

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience managing national retail accounts within CPG. Background in supplements, wellness, or premium CPG preferred
  • Strong track record of launching and driving growth with large retail partners, Grocery and Mass partners
  • Experience developing account plans, forecasts, and trade strategies
  • Strong understanding of retail buying processes, merchandising, and promotional planning
  • Experience working across in store and digital retail environments
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including forecasting, trade management, and P&L ownership
  • Ability to operate with a high level of ownership while partnering closely with senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in highly cross functional environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, high growth environment
  • Experience using syndicated data, retail analytics, or similar tools
  • Passion for health, wellness, and scaling a high growth consumer brand

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $108,000.00 - $130,500.00 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
