- Support and improve monitoring, alerting, and operational visibility of database systems.
- Contribute to the gradual standardisation of database practices, coding guidelines, and tooling.
- Participate in ad‑hoc projects and scripts, helping turn tactical solutions into more maintainable ones where possible.
- Assist with PostgreSQL workloads, as the platform adoption grows.
- Document findings, improvements, and technical decisions to support knowledge sharing within the team.

Candidate will be joining a team of six database professionals combining DBA and development skills.
Our environment is largely Oracle‑centric, with a growing footprint in PostgreSQL and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Day‑to‑day work spans a mix of legacy solutions, ad‑hoc scripts, and evolving ownership.
As a team, we focus on bringing structure, stability, and best practices to the database layer—improving performance, observability, and maintainability—while working closely with application developers to gradually increase database ownership and technical consistency.
