OVERVIEW

Alo is seeking a highly skilled Packaging Consultant to evaluate and enhance our current packaging strategy. This role involves working with both existing and new vendors to create a more elevated packaging experience while being mindful of cost. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in packaging design and implementation, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for sustainability.

RESPONSIBILTIES

Evaluate current packaging materials and designs, including: shopping bags, poly mailers, shipping boxes, hangtags, accessories packaging, and care labels.
Conduct a competitive analysis and identify themes and trends across the luxury and athleisure spaces.
Develop a comprehensive proposal for an elevated packaging strategy that aligns with Alo's brand values and customer expectations.
Ensure all packaging solutions are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
Manage the implementation of the new packaging strategy, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
Conduct regular reviews and assessments of packaging performance and make necessary adjustments.
Work closely with the design and creative teams to ensure packaging aligns with overall brand strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in packaging design and implementation.
Expertise in materials and brand.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
Graphic design and strong branding skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor's degree in Packaging Design, Industrial Design, or a related field is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is $85/hr-$95/hr which represents the current range for the contract position.
